One of my favorite sayings is, "If you don't know where you're going, any direction will do." While in many cases people take that as license to do whatever they feel like, what it really means is that before you embark on a journey, you should plan your destination. GT Software and Cordys Partner For SOA Development
Combined Solution Delivers Best-In-Class SOA That Actively Incorporates The Mainframe

GT Software provider of mainframe integration solutions, and Cordys, a provider of next generation SOA technology, announced a global partnership. The companies will work together to deliver development solutions that fully integrate the mainframe into Cordys SOA initiatives for their respective worldwide audiences.

“We are very pleased to partner with Cordys in making the mainframe an active participant in SOA initiatives,” said Wilson Rains, vice president of alliances at GT Software. “Our companies share a philosophy and track record of delivering intuitive, easy-to-use solutions that eliminate the need for coding, producing highly effective and sophisticated results with minimal effort.”

“Partnering with GT Software enables Cordys to add best-of-breed mainframe integration technologies to our SOA solution,” said Reint Jan Holterman, Director Technology Alliances, Cordys. “This further reinforces our customers’ ability to streamline their SOA initiatives, and develop business-oriented applications that take full advantage of resources across the organization.”

GT Software’s Ivory® is an integrated toolset that enables rapid SOA development for the mainframe using existing skills sets, applications and data, allowing the mainframe to become an active participant in a SOA. Without retraining and with no coding required, Ivory enables mainframe developers to leverage mainframe resources to seamlessly support the building and deploying of multi-step, multi-operation business services within a SOA.

Cordys’ unified technology platform, based on a single architecture, presents a unique fusion of a SOA and an Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) based on a true Enterprise Service Bus (ESB). The Cordys platform includes Web Workplace, a web browser-based rich graphical user interface for composite applications, and a Business Process Management and Execution System (BPMS) that provides business people with the tools they need to graphically design, manage, execute and adapt business processes in a code-free environment.

Incorporating GT Software’s Ivory products allows companies to quickly and easily integrate existing mainframe applications and data into Cordys-based SOA initiatives, in order to fully leverage critical business assets across the enterprise. Both companies offer highly automated, integrated solutions, with no coding required. The partnership ensures that customers will be able to develop sophisticated, fully integrated mainframe SOA implementations with less effort, ensuring a rapid return on investment.
